AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions are open to anyone 9 years of age or older (or turning 9 in 2025). Auditions will take place at the rehearsal studios at the Imperial Theatre on Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th, following this schedule:
May 9th:
7:00pm - 10:00pm (Ages 15+)
May 10th:
10:30am - 12:30pm (Youth Auditions Ages 9-14)
1:00pm - 4:00pm (Ages 15+)
6:00pm - 8:30pm (Ages 15+)
**times are subject to fluctuate based on volume of response**
Callbacks, if needed, will take place after the final block of auditions on Saturday night.

We are asking all prospective auditionees ages 15 and up (or turning 15 in 2025) to prepare the following:
1. One section of a musical theatre song of your choice that you feel best showcases your vocal ability, approximately one minute in length (or about one verse and one chorus). You may bring your own sheet music or accompaniment track. A Capella auditions will not be accepted.
2. One of the provided musical sections from a song in the show, selected based on the character for whom you are most in auditioning for (if you’re interested in multiple characters, please select one musical section) or the one you feel suits your voice the best. Youth auditionees (ages 9-14) are asked to prepare only ONE of the song choices listed above. PLEASE NOTE - there are only two youth roles available in this show. These characters (Young Anastasia and Young Alexei) are written to be approximately 8-11 years old.
We are also specifically seeking a small group of ballet dancers (no singing required). If you are interested in auditioning for this role ONLY, you do not need to complete a vocal audition, just the dance call.
Some auditionees may be asked to do a vocal range test or a cold read after their vocal audition. All auditionees are also asked to participate in the dance call, either before or after their vocal audition. Please make sure you wear comfortable clothing that you can move in easily and bring a pair of indoor shoes with you (running shoes, jazz shoes, or ballet shoes are fine. No socks or bare feet please). If you would benefit from a movement accommodation, please let us know prior to the dance call.
REHEARSAL/PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
Rehearsals will take place on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 9:30pm beginning on Monday, July 7th. All rehearsals will take place in the rehearsal studios at the Imperial Theatre.
Our performance schedule is as follows:
October 17, 18, 22, 23, 24 at 7:30pm
October 19 and 25 at 2:00pm
School Matinee on October 23 at 10:00am
There is also a possibility of adding another Saturday matinee on October 18th. Tech week will take place from Monday October 13th through to opening night on Friday, October 17th. Cast attendance is mandatory at all nights of tech week and all performances. No exceptions can be made.
