Clara receives a special gift from Herr Drosselmeier at her family’s annual Christmas party—a Nutcracker doll. That evening, after the guests leave, her Nutcracker comes to life and battles the Rat King. Clara saves the Nutcracker by hitting the Rat King on the head with her shoe. To thank Clara, the Nutcracker invites her to the magical land of the Sugar Plum Fairy, where she encounters many magical creatures.
The music of Tchaikovsky comes to life in this beloved holiday ballet tradition. Enjoy the incredible talents of local dancers and acrobats, along with professional guest artists Robert Fulton as the Cavalier and Camille Kellems as the Sugar Plum Fairy.
